Provide high quality advice and service to the Minister for Planning in relation to planning, development and land use matters for wind farms.

The Planner in the wind farms team is an integral part of the Planning Group which is responsible for providing statutory services to deliver the Minister for Planning’s responsibilities in relation to the assessment of permit applications for wind farms and other requirements of planning legislation and instruments.

If you have experience in and knowledge of statutory and strategic land use planning within a metropolitan and regional planning context in Victoria, along with a relevant qualification in planning or other related field, you are strongly encouraged to apply.

As a Strategic Planner you will assist in the preparation and implementation of strategic policies and plans relating to land use and development, including amendments to the Warrnambool Planning Scheme.

Two fantastic opportunities have opened up to join the City of Kingston’s Strategic and Environmental Planning Team. These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to and deliver a range of exciting and innovative strategic planning and policy projects in one of Melbourne’s most physically diverse municipalities.

Senior Strategic Planner (Band 6 – 12 month maternity leave replacement – full or part time)

Your input will be sought in relation to a range of city shaping projects including the State Government’s planning for the Monash National Employment Cluster, development of an updated housing strategy and neighbourhood character study and planning for major urban and brownfield renewal sites. You will also lead the implementation of key Council projects and planning scheme amendments.

Principal Strategic Planner (Band 7 – 18 month newly funded role – full time)

This role requires an experienced and motivated professional to influence Kingston’s response to the generational land use and development change currently occurring across the municipality. Your excellent technical skills will be utilised to progress significant projects such as the development of an updated housing strategy and neighbourhood character study and planning for major urban and brownfield renewal sites and precincts.

With unprecedented public and private investment occurring across the municipality, candidates for both roles will have demonstrated knowledge and experience managing complex Planning Scheme Amendments to ensure that these critical projects are successfully implemented into the Kingston Planning Scheme.

Statutory Planner - Contour Consultants

Contour Consultants has a position for a Statutory Planner with ideally three to five years’ experience working with Victorian Planning Schemes.  The role would be particularly suited to a town planner already working as a consultant or who has recent local government statutory planning experience.
